Many good and sensible people were quick to post on Facebook, letting the world know how they felt about a “white” cop shooting a black man in his car. Turning it into a white-on-black crime. Come to find out, however, the officer wasn’t actually white. He was Hispanic.

Here are four common sense beliefs and practices the United States built on to not only preserve, but advance a nation whereby we are free to exercise and express our God-given rights without infringement.

Jesus (who has an eternally divine nature) was begotten in a humanly finite and limited nature, which was and forever will be perfectly displayed in His resurrected body. Essentially, despite the various opposing objections that attempt to criticize or disprove Jesus Christ, the evidence overwhelming points to the Jesus of the Bible to be the pure and unadulterated God of the heavens and the earth.

There are four notable facts of the hypostatic union: (1) Christ has two distinct natures: humanity and deity; (2) there is no mixture or intermingling of the two natures; (3) He will forever be the Second Person of the Godhead with two natures perfectly expressed in His eternal being; and (4) both natures are necessary for redemption because as man, Jesus acts as our perfect sacrifice, and yet as God, His Melchizedekan priesthood establishes Him as mediator over all creation.

There are many early heretical movements that had different views about the natures of Jesus. The idea that Jesus Christ is both God and man (a one-person union) has certainly puzzled many scholars through the centuries, and as a result, caused much confusion over its implications in the Bible.

One of the most detailed accounts of Jesus’s humanity is recorded in Luke 2:52, “And Jesus grew in wisdom and stature, and in favor with God and men.”

The Bible teaches that Christ is of “heavenly origin” (John 3:13, 31), existing eternally in splendor and majesty before His earthly birth.

Through the periods of church history both philosophers and theologians alike have been unrelenting in their efforts to unravel new clues to the mysteriousness and grandeur of the sovereignty of God and the existence of free will.

One of the most consequential reasons people invite non-reciprocal friends into their lives is because they pretend to be someone they are not.

As the American culture grows increasingly more secular, churches are no longer carrying the kind of authority and influence they once had. Church is no longer a top priority for the bulk of young Americans, and a growing number of Christians don’t see the need to put down roots in a church.

Millennials think and feel differently than previous generations. Their behaviors, buying habits, and brand loyalty (or lack of it) are far less predictable than those of their parents, and certainly grandparents.

On the surface, equity seems to be fair, just, and impartial. But upon further investigation, you find that the outcome of equity is anything but fair, just, and impartial.

There is still a window of opportunity to reignite our country's fervor to bring peace and regain stability in America.

It all started long ago when God elected Abraham and gave him three everlasting promises: land, seed, and blessing. In Genesis 12:1-3, the Abrahamic blessing is given: “Go from your country…to a land that I will show you, And I will make of you a great nation, and I will bless you and make your name great, so that you will be a blessing. I will bless those who bless you, and him who dishonors you I will curse, and in you all the families of the earth shall be blessed.”

Perhaps you doubt because you have a misconstrued understanding of God. Or maybe you doubt because you underwent a traumatic experience and have never recovered from it. Whatever the reason, you will constantly battle with doubt until you genuinely give it over to God.
