AVOID THESE DEAD ZONES IN YOUR SMALL GROUP

Let’s face it, we always start with the best intentions, but sometimes (whatever the reason) find our groups crossing into certain unwanted dead zones. These are reminders not to lead your group down anyone of these dead zones.

LIFE OF THE PARTY—
Avoid making the group all about you or banking on certain people to enhance the culture of the group.

SOCIAL CLUB—
Avoid making the group into a closed social club with no intention to duplicate itself.

WOE IS ME—Avoid making the group into a time when everyone vents their problems or views it as a counseling session.

KNOW-IT-ALLS—
Avoid the pitfall of letting “know-it-alls” take control of the group and move it in an entirely different direction.

DON’T BOTHER ME—Avoid falling into the trap of ignoring or giving up on those who seem unable (or unwilling) to get out of their comfort zones and be used by God.
